Cardiff International Sports Village is a self-funding regeneration programme.
A requirement of the programme is that the infrastructure plus sports and leisure facilities are funded through the sale of commercial elements, including retail sites.
This has generated the necessary funding for the infrastructure comprising
a brand new, comprehensive on-site road, cycle and pedestrian network
major off-site highway improvements to the local network linking CISV directly onto Cogan Spur, the Peripheral Distribution Route (A4232) and J33 of the M4.
new off-site primary substation and new incoming power supply
new foul and surface water systems
Two brand new superstores, Morrison's and Toys R US
One other retail site will be released in the future.
